The Thessaloniki Museum of Photography, in association with the Film Festival and New Horizons, will be holding the exhibition of contemporary Iranian Photography titled Glimpses of Iran at the Museum's gallery. In recent years, Iran has gained international recognition for the cinematographic creations of its famous as well as rising film directors. This exhibition presents to the public aspects of Iranian photography unknown to most. Distinguished creators such as Abbas Kiarostami, Abbas and Shirin Neshat, and other lesser known or budding young artists will be participating in this exhibition. The exhibition will be organised and supervised by Dr. Sami Azzar, the director of the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, and Hamid Severi, the museum's curator. A total of 200 photographs will be presented.
