Fine art photography gallery LUMAS announces an exclusive event to showcase limited editions of iconic works by the foremost fashion photographers of the twenty first century. The event will introduce previously unreleased masterpieces of fashion photography to the public for the first time.

The gallery will be presenting ten new works in total, including Edward Steichen's legendary portrait of actor Gloria Swanson, Bert Stern's picture of supermodel Twiggy, and Arthur Elgort's iconic photographs of Kate Moss. Horst P. Horst's famous black-and-white images of fashion designer Coco Chanel are also amongst the new works, complementing the LUMAS VOGUE Collection. With works from over a century of fashion photography, an exclusive preview awaits in the LUMAS gallery in Mayfair, London and rue de Seine, Paris.

In London, the preview event will include a keynote speech by Jo Ellison, Fashion Editor of the Financial Times, former Features Director of British Vogue and author of VOGUE: The Gown. The LUMAS gallery Paris will introduce the renowned author and curator Hans-Michael Koetzle who will share his insights into the glamorous world of fashion photography.

LUMAS präsentiert erstmals Editionen legendärer Modefotografen wie Horst P. Horst, Erwin Blumenfeld und Bert Stern. Noch vor der offiziellen Veröffentlichung in den über 35 Galerien weltweit werden in ausgewählten Dependancen Ikonen der Fotografiegeschichte vorgestellt. Werke von Edward Steichen und Cecil Beaton ergänzen dabei Positionen von Wegbereitern der modernen Modefotografie wie Arthur Elgort.

Insgesamt zehn neue Fotografien präsentiert die Editionsgalerie erstmals. Darunter Edward Steichens legendäres Portrait der Schauspielerin Gloria Swanson, Bert Sterns Inszenierung des Supermodels Twiggy und Arthur Elgorts ikonische Kate Moss Fotografien. Auch die berühmte Schwarz-Weiß-Aufnahme der Pariser Modeschöpferin Coco Chanel von Horst P. Horst ist unter den neuen Arbeiten und ergänzt die LUMAS VOGUE Collection. Erst vor wenigen Wochen veröffentlichte die Editionsgalerie mit dieser außergewöhnlichen Sammlung über 30 Werke der profiliertesten Fashionfotografen.

Im Rahmen der Previews finden spannende Expertenvorträge statt. So wird der renommierte Schriftsteller und Kurator Hans-Michael Koetzle ("Augen Auf! 100 Jahre Leica Fotografie", Haus der Photographie, Hamburg) in Frankfurt, Berlin und Düsseldorf über die gezeigten Meisterwerke sprechen. In Stuttgart, München, Wien und Zürich wird die Fotografie-Expertin Dr. Julia Lehnert (Christie's Zürich) Einblicke in die glamouröse und schillernde Welt der Modefotografie geben.
